I had a student who is an advanced speaker but needs help breaking down the grading metric for the IELTS speaking portion. One of the official proctors of the exam (British Council) has a rubric that explains in detail what makes a 7 band speaker different from a 9 band speaker. What I'm going to do for you is completely break this down word for word. Take a look at the few highlights I made at the bottom of the post. So on band 7, I explain what "connectives" are.
I'm also planning to make a tutorial on how you can use AI to have conversations. Given that AI struggles with pauses (like when you pause, it will stop listening), it is best to work with a predefined transcript so you know when to pause, instead of pausing accidentally. If that doesn't make sense now, don't worry I will post here again with some samples.
If you got this through your email notifications, please do me a favor and reply to this post! Any questions, tips, or comments are welcome

I'll be posting frequently with good advice and you may see posts from other people taking the exam, so please welcome others with open arms as I have for you!
